Create a Job description (Sales/Marketing) for P&G

 Company.

  • Heading information. This should include job title, FLSA status, pay grade or range, reporting relationship (supervisor's title), hours or shifts, job location, job analyst, document date.
  • Summary objective of the job. A short paragraph explain the general responsibilities and descriptions of key tasks and their purpose, relationships with customers, coworkers, and others, and the results expected of incumbent employees.
  • Essential job duties and responsibilities. Essential job duties must consider the guidelines of the American's with Disabilities Act (ADA). For course purposes must have a minimum of ten essential job functions. Two features of essential duties are important: identifying tasks that comprise about 90 to 95 percent of the work done and listing tasks in order of the time consumed (or, sometimes, in order of importance). The first task listed should be the most important or time-consuming, and so on. Lastly, each task statement should start with an action verb such as manage, direct, assist, prepare, research, etc. See Bloom's taxonomy for examples of action verbs.
  • Also consider listing essential duties into behavioral categories such as technical, interpersonal, and organizational. Consider these concepts: person-job fit and person-organizational fit.
  • Job Specifications. State the education, experience, training, and technical skills directly related to and necessary for entry into this job. Job Speciation's must be objective, valid, and specific; therefore directly related to successful job performance.
  • Special demands. This should include any extraordinary conditions applicable to the job (for example, heavy lifting, exposure to temperature extremes, prolonged standing, or travel requirements).
