Assignment:
Every program has risks associated with it. This week, I want you to review your idea and provide a risk analysis. What are the potential risks involved with this program, and what processes can be put in place to manage these risks? One specific risk that I want you to discuss is related to cultural differences. Please assume that your company is a multinational corporation...will this program work in all areas of the business? If not, how can it be adapted for the other country/countries involved?
This does not need to be written as a formal research paper. You may write in the first person because you are presenting your own ideas.
My motivational project centers around a fictional organization that neglected motivation's importance in the workplace. I will implement a combination of incentives, training, and climate surveys to help enhance motivation among the company's employees.
Each motivational enhancement category will have a cost.
The benefits of the training will create a highly motivated workplace, leading to increased productivity and creativity. The training costs will be one hour away from work each month for the employees and the cost of some training aids and materials. Incentives such as bonuses will vary depending on accomplishments and feature items such as awards, time off, and bonuses starting at $100. Climate surveys will take place quarterly with the expectation to take approximately one hour to complete.
The quarterly climate surveys will serve as a gauge to assess employee satisfaction and help us tweak the motivational enhancement program. Human Resources managers will provide reports illustrating the productivity levels. The initial productivity assessment will serve as the baseline starting point. The only possible risks currently present are the potential for employees not to value the currently selected incentives. We will use climate surveys to mitigate those risks to address alternative incentives such as remote work or flex schedules. These steps will help us stay on the right track to boost employee motivation. Looking forward to hearing your feedback.
