Project: Mini-bus hire system (made in the uk so will require the database will be made with UK vehicles and units of measurement).

Description of the database and what it must include: System to record availability of Mini-buses, capacity and hire cost per day. Hiring to record Customer details, Driver License, Payments and duration. Recording of condition of vehicle before hire and after hire. To handles damages and costs. Insurance details / costs and additional drivers costs. Flexibility to handle cost per mile or fixed costs per day and weekends. Good facility to show availability checking on specific dates. (again all of this is to be applied in the united kingdom not USA).

Functional requirements:

The basic and default requirements for this Minibus hire system will be as follows:
- Allow users to safely use the database without risk or privacy/ security breaches.
- The database will allow vast information types to be stored allowing for wide user preferences regarding hiring a vehicle or vehicle specifications (in the united kingdom).
- A clear and organised system design and structure to allow high levels of user friendliness and every day browsing.
- Incorporate encryption protocols and system defences to minimize risk of data breaches and misuse. (e.g. encryption of users payment details using hash functionality, firewalls, closed ports to allow data security and lower chance of hackers and different attack vectors from entering the system). not all of these features have to be implemented only basic levels of encryption will be fine.
- Allow users to make queries using select input functions and keywords to load desirable outcomes/results. (Creation of user interface).
- Be easy to update (by staff and developers due to demand of the services provided by the database) and refine as availability and details regarding different vehicles could easily change at any time.
- Link the different databases such as one for payment details and vehicle specifications and availability to produce different outputs and results.
- Program the front and back ends of the databases to be able to select and insert different criterion/ specifications.
