Writing business rules to eventually create a database to manage multiple Hotels. The business rules need to answer the following statements:

----"Just as you might have some guests who prefer a pool or sauna or gym our programmers will prefer to know how they should handle pools in the data base.Pools have their own nuances like size, indoor/outdoor, filter type, and chemical standards. A pool might require a dedicated employee and certainly dedicated supplies.

On our logical model we may want to represent what would amount to as the pool specific spreadsheet or table with certain specific symbols that act as notes to the programmers. The programmers will also want to know what kinds of things to keep in this table.

For instance, you might want to know how much it costs to maintain the pool vs how much business it actually generates. If this is the case, then we might add a place to record weather you lost a sell because of the lack or up keep of a pool. you may want to drain the Bates property pool for instance and add a nice lye pit if the return on investment suits you.

Well, it matters in a more generic sense. That is, does the data model include hotel features and how are they represented."

---"Yes, some properties' have special event rooms. For each of these we have rate information (which depends on a variety of factors, e.g. season, holidays, etc.), room size, amenities, descriptive information, and max occupancy. Some properties do not have event facilities"

---"For DBM purposes we would like to track employees by a unique number. Many places keep information like a picture, hire date, pay rate, SSN, number/name of dependents, job title/type, location employed, insurance package, sick days owed, sick days taken, vacation days owed, vacation days taken, notes (complaints/accolades), training due/accomplished, schedule requests, and customer critiques."

----"Employees can be exempt or non-exempt. The non-exempt are hourly, the exempt salaried. Yes, classification is based on job title. For each job title there is a salary guide line range."
