INSTRUCTION DOCUMENT ASSIGNMENT

Here are the details:

Option One- Your employer has decided to create a comprehensive new employee manual, and has instructed you to contribute a set of instructions for a key workplace task. The expectation is that a new employee can carry out the described job effectively, efficiently, and safely, on day one.

NOTE- The instructions should reflect the key concepts described in chapter 7, which include adhering to a logical (chronological) structure, providing necessary details, and including an introduction (and possibly a conclusion).

Option Two- Your employer has decided to create a comprehensive new employee manual, and has instructed you to contribute to the policies and procedures section. Choose one policy/procedure to explain in detail, with the goal being to create a comprehensive document which eliminates the need for follow-up contact.

Each of the options above can draw upon your actual work experience, or be based on a hypothetical situation (future job). You might find it easier to write about something you've actually done, but the choice is yours.
