For mini essay 1, you will use the readings for weeks 10 and 11 to craft a thesis and expand on it in 2 single-spaced pages. Go for quality and brevity. However, if your essay is too brief or uses too few sources, you will not earn total points in the depth or support categories on the rubric.

Essays should demonstrate that you have completed the readings and engaged in thoughtful consideration of the themes. These essays do not need a title page. They should be single-spaced, in 12-point font, with a reference list and in-text citations. Students should use the APA style for sources. You may also cite any lectures from Dr. Schoen or others we have watched this semester.
