Purpose

For this assignment you will select three (or more) recent articles on a health condition affecting an organ system studied in the course and create a brochure to educate people about the disorder. Please select articles from credible organizations or academic journals, written within the last 5 years. This assignment is worth 5% of your overall mark and can be submitted on BlackBoard. You may find some information in the textbook; various disorders are discussed towards the end of chapters that cover organ systems.

Format

Create a brochure or handout approximately three pages in length with the goal of educating the public about the health condition. You may choose the format of your handout (ex. pamphlet, slides, magazine article), and use your creativity in the design. Rephrase all information gathered in your own words and edit your work for spelling and grammar errors. Include at least two visuals and cover the following information in your brochure:

Description and cause of the medical condition
Canadian statistics
Symptoms and organ systems impacted
Diagnosis
Treatments
Technologies used in diagnosis or treatments
Costs associated with treatments
Recent discoveries and the significance of these findings

Please include a reference list of the articles you use following proper APA style. For example:
