-Enter all of the User Stories you can find in the case in the Excel columns with the format "As an X, I want to Y, so that I can Z", ensure you have a realistic and concrete "so that I can". Without the "so that I can", we don't know the real value or benefit of the story. -Surf through the Chateau site, the attached brochure file, perhaps the Facebook link (a nice aerial photo shot) on the Chateau site, and any other resources you like -- and come up with 3 stories of your own choosing -- and why not, you are now the owner and you have some ideas. -Calculate the team velocity in points for 2-week sprints. -Enter the number of points per story based on the estimates provided in the case, and determine how many sprints it would take to complete the entire backlog (see second xls worksheet in the workbook). For the 3 stories you came up with on your own, compare your stories to the estimates provided in the case and use relative estimating to come with the number of points. -Prioritize the stories (and provide your reasoning in the Rationale column), by moving the highest priority stories (rows) to the top of the list, and then using your velocity calculations, determine how many stories can be done in Sprint 1, Enter a "1" in the Sprint # column beside those stories to signify they are targeted for Sprint 1. Remember that in Agile, the highest value or highest benefit stories are done first, and the "nice to have" stories are done in later sprints. -Create a DoD list that is applicable across all of your stories based on the case. -Create 2 or 3 acceptance criteria for stories prioritized to be done in Sprint 1.
