Established patient Assessment: 1. Sinusitis 2. Cough with twitchy airways and bronchospasm; will treat the patient with prescription medication. 3. Cerumen impaction. Plan: removal of impacted cerumen. Antibiotic 500 mg po bid. Will have her do nasal saline irrigations, humidity, cough suppressant. Follow-up as needed. Procedure: cerumen removal performed bilaterally using a cerumen spoon. The impacted cerumen was removed without complication and the patient tolerated the procedure well.
