1. Researcher calculated the correlation coefficient between two variables to be .300 based on a sample size of 25. Test the null hypothesis that the population correlation coefficient is zero at a significance level of .05 (two tailed test)

2. In a regression model, a researcher is interested in modeling the influence of color (red and green) on customer preference (P). He defines the dummy variable C1 to mean 1 for green and 0 for red.

The regression equation was estimated to be P=100+5C1

Suppose another researcher is interested in defining the dummy variable C2 to mean 0 for green and 1 for red.
