You will write a tutorial for one of the tools we've used in this class (Omeka, TimelineJS, StoryMap JS, Slack, Zotero), digital history website we've looked at (Valley of the Shadow, Ivan Allen Archive, DECIMA) or another digital history tool to be chosen in consultation with me (list of tools here ). The goal of this exercise is to design an interactive tutorial that could be used by a fellow undergraduate or classmate unfamiliar with the tool. After "reading" the tutorial, the user should be able to complete a basic exercise.

The elements of the tutorial should include:

A brief description of the tool and its potential uses

How the tool can be used in a history essay

Reasons for why the tool is useful for conveying historical information or an argument

Pros and cons of using the tool

Step-by-step instructions

examples

Interactive elements can include screenshots, dynamic examples, videos, etc).
