You are about to become the Speaker of the House of Representatives and your party also controls the Senate and Presidency. You decide that you truly want to reform the tax code. It’s grown bloated, complex, full of special interest provisions and time has come to fix it (“politics be damn”). What would you do? Value Added Tax (national sales tax)? All Income Treated the Same? Deductions versus No Deductions? It’s up to your generation to put forth the ideas that will shape our country’s future so I’m giving you the chance to start formulating your ideas. Give it a shot, you never know you just might have the solution and may be in line to be the Secretary of Treasury and help fix our tax system.
