Gitesh accidentally ingests a controlled substance that makes him happy, distorts his sense of time, hinders his motor skills, and gives him a severe case of the munchies. During this time, he uses his company credit card to purchase a new sports car and then damages it by driving too fast. When the substance's effect finally wears off, he realizes the car purchase was irresponsible, even though he knew what he was doing when he signed the contract. What happens when Gitesh tries to disaffirm the contract? Gitesh is unable to disaffirm the contract because he did not lack capacity at the time he signed the agreement. Gitesh can give back the damaged car and receive the full purchase price in return. Gitesh is unable to disaffirm the contract because he was at fault for taking the substance. Gitesh can give back the damaged car but can only receive the value of the damaged car in return.
