A company produces large bottles of liquid vitamins for veterinary use. The bottles are filled on average with 971 milliliters and the filling process has a standard deviation of 19.6 milliliters. The company wishes to monitor the process on an ongoing basis by taking sample of 84 bottles per day and plotting the daily average fill volume on a statistical process control chart.
