In your presentation, highlight three to five events from Civil Rights Movements. Include any legal battles that changed American society through interaction with blacks in America. Be sure the events covered occurred between 1619 and present day.

You are a professor working for the Center for African Studies at Hope University. You have been assigned to present to a group of high school students about the African-American experience in the United States from 1619 to the present. These students have been expressing concerns about violence, riots, and social injustice in the country and will appreciate more information on the causes of the anger among African Americans.
