In this assignment, you compare and contrast the types of reward and punishment theories and their relationship to justice.

Blog writing is a very personal form of writing. It usually takes the first person (I, me) point of view and is directed to a specific group of people—the blog audience. Think of blogging as writing a letter or email. The blog post should be about 250 words, on topic, and to the point.
In this writing assignment, you will assume the role of an avid blogger on the topic of teaching. Your loyal audience consists of elementary school teachers.
You are an expert in the area of improving classroom behavior in elementary schools. You have been teaching for a number of years, and new teachers at your school and throughout your school system come to you for advice on improving classroom behavior. You have been writing a blog, and your next entry will address rewards, punishments, and justice in the classroom. In your blog entry, make sure to complete the following tasks:
Contrast retributive rewards and utilitarian rewards. Provide examples that can help your audience.
Contrast retributive punishments and utilitarian punishments. Provide examples of each.
Explain how reward theory and punishment theory relate to justice.
Choose and defend a position on whether justice is best attained through rewards, punishments, or some combination of the two.
