Family Life Education should address the needs of individual and family needs and thus a needs assessment can help one identify what those needs are. With this in mind, conduct your own "needs assessment" of a target population that you have chosen. It can be an imaginary audience, a group that you are working with (no names allowed), or other creative ideas. Utilize a graphic organizer or chart of your own in this week's discussion to compare and contrast "Felt Needs," Ascribed Needs," and "Future Needs". (see this week's Lesson) You can be creative in the selection of your diagram or chart. Post your diagram and also identify which one of the "Needs" you feel is most important and why. Remember, you must select one (you can't say they're all important) and use an example to clarify your position.
