A 1.7 million modification is being negotiated to a $30 million contract. a certified cost or pricing data we're not required for the original contract because it was based on an adequate price competition. the modification is expected to result in a 3.7 million increase in cost and a $2 million decrease in associated costs. you may recall that the current threshold for obtaining Cost pricing data is $2 million. will certified cost or pricing that would be required for this Modification? why or why not?

A) No because certified Coster pricing daughter we're not required for the original contract

B) Yes because certified Coster pricing that are required for all Contract modifications regardless of the dollar amount of the change
