In the case of cost cutting with the police department and other departments of the cities, counties and states that need it. I believe that much of the country has the wrong idea when looking at the ideas of the politicians who state they will remove the money going to the departments which as we can see has already created issues with police time and reaction to calls and emergencies. This alone, in my eyes is showing a problem with what those same politicians want for their home and area as a citizen where their kids and friends can not be protected. This however is only if they are willing to remove the department of police entirely to make something new.

Although what the video is stating is that the loss of money and personnel in an area is a massive effect to a city like Black River Falls who are having their chief be a working chief, as he will both be a investigator and chief, eliminate the sergeant position in the department, and the rest will be unable to have the possibility to have promotions in the area. According to the video, the public likes this idea but it creates a few problems. you still have limited number of personnel in the city making it harder for a certain amount of time to get to and from calls, overworking officers may be a future possibility as well as some quitting due to the unnecessary tolls of this job versus another department or county/city.

In a perfect world or even in this world, this may work well enough to have this police department stable for a few months or maybe even a few years, but it will ultimately need more money or more officers so that they can share the work load as more and more the few already working will be burnt out, take vacation, or create worse problems for the city as the officers are more likely to be overworked and be sleep deprived. Causing dangerous situations to occur more often, mostly when it is not necessary to occur in the first place.
