Question - Paper airplanes. In preparation for a regional paper airplane competition, a student tried out her latest design. The distances her plane traveled (in feet) in 11 trial flights are given here. (The world record is an astounding 193.01 feet!) The data were 62, 52, 68, 23, 34, 45, 27, 42, 83, 56, and 40 feet. Here are some summaries:

a) Construct a 95% confidence interval for the true distance.

b) Based on your confidence interval, is it plausible that the mean distance is 40 ft? Explain.
