YOU are the new manager on the rig. You were hired to reorganize the oil rig so that it is considered an ethical work environment. Currently there are many inequalities and disparities between the expatriates and the local African labor workers. It is understood that this is very hard task given the extreme work conditions and diverse employee population. You are asked to work within the existing budget (given that the case study does not give you exact dollar amounts for your budget, you will need to think of your budget in a conceptual way. For example you can decide to separate the budget in halves, quarters etc. without knowing the actual dollar amount.)

You need to identify the inequalities and decide which ones need to be changed to support the argument that you have created an ethical work environment given what you have to work with. Some inequalities need to be changed and others do not. Pick the top three issues that you believe need to be reorganized on the oil rig and explain why they are the most important for an ethical work environment.   You will be asked to explain and defend your decisions to your superiors in two weeks. Expect that your superiors will ask you hard questions so you need to consider criticisms to your plan.
