Consider the arrangement of ideal massless cables and a 450cm long 10kg horizontal iron bar, which are used to hang a bucket of water from two walls. What are the tensions in all the cables if 50kg of water is placed in the bucket? What is the vertical force that each of the walls exerts on the iron rod? Each cable is 200cm from wall closest to them with 50cm separating them. One cable is 40cm and the other is 30cm with the bucket hanging 20cm below where the cables meet.
