Consider acts of terrorism within the context of due process rights as American citizens. Assume for the sake of this discussion that the president orders the execution of an American terrorist suspect, and in fact, the military successfully carries out the president's order without a trial on the merits. Does the fact that a domestic terrorist commits proven acts of terrorism against the United States render his due process rights meaningless? Is the president's order a violation of the American terrorist's due process rights under the U.S. Constitution?
