Consider a distillation column that is fed 1000 kg/hr of an equimolar mixture of benzene and cyclohexane. Theof the benzene distillate stream is to contain 90 % with a benzene mole fraction of 0.95. What is the bottoms flowrate in kmoles/hr? What is the weight fraction of benzene in the bottoms? #4 2000 kg/h of refrigerant 12 at 0.6 bar and 0C are fed to a compressor through a pipe of diameter 7 cm. The compressor discharges the gas at 7 bar and 140 C through a 2 cm diameter pipe. During this process 40,000 kJ/h of heat is lost to the surroundings. Calculate the inlet and exit velocities and the power supplied to the compressor.
