You have been with the local police department for three years and are assigned to the patrol division. You are about to leave a coffee shop one night near the end of your "graveyard" (overnight) shift after having finished a bathroom break. Before you do, one of your fellow officers comes in, off-duty, and clearly intoxicated. Jim Marsh is a 14-year, senior corporal on a shift opposite of you, but is on the list to become your next sergeant. You asked him, "Hey, Jim, tell me you're not driving." He replies, almost bragging, "Of course I am." His demeanor was defiant, as if to say, "What are you going to do about it?"
