We discussed factors that contribute to the intergenerational transmission of criminal behavior. As we discussed, there are two general camps when it comes to the connection between parental and offspring behavior, those that view parental socialization as one of the most (if not, the most) important sources of influence in shaping human behavior, and those who view any similarity the result of genes passed from one generation to the next.

For this discussion:
