Question: Diagnosis and procedure code for PREOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS: Cataract, left eye POSTOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS: Same OPERATIVE PROCEDURE: Phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implant, left eye PROCEDURE: On arrival in the OR, the patient's left eye was administered with Tetracine drops. Ocular akinesia was obtained with retrobulbar injection of 0.75 percent Sensorcaine and Wydase in the amount of 4 cc. Five minutes of intermittent digital pressure was applied. A superior rectus bridle suture was placed. After routine preparation and draping, a small fornix-based conjunctival flap was raised superiorly. Bleeding points were cauterized. A 7-mm step incision was made above. The anterior chamber was entered under the flap with a 5531 blade. The anterior capsule was removed under Healon with a cystotome. The nucleus was emulsified in the posterior capsule.
