1. Methodology is a series of choices; Choices about what information and data to gather; Choices about how to analyze the information and data that you gather and other methodological choices. Methodology implies more than simply the methods you intend to use to collect data.

A paradigm is a description of the world of human behavior; it is a description of society. A paradigm is a description of the interactions of human beings within any society. Paradigms are broad viewpoints or perspectives that permit social scientists to have a wide range of tools to describe society, and then to build hypotheses and theories. Paradigms don't do anything but DESCRIBE! They analyze based on their descriptions. That is all they do. They are scientific tools. Paradigms cannot occur or happen! Societies are not Conflictualist, Functionalist, or Symbolic Interactionist. People and social events are not based on paradigms: a paradigm is a viewpoint, a perspective, a guiding principal, a belief system. Paradigms cannot be proven or disproven, but they lead to the development of theories which are provable. (Dunn, 2010)

2. Based on an assessment for a behaviour response plan I would evaluate a client's needs on the identification of the client's behaviours of concern and their severity. The behaviour of concern that poses the most risk of harm towards the client must be addressed first.

3. An analytical framework, also referred to as a casual pathway is a type of evidence model that links and defines clinical concepts, evidence, and populations as they relate to outcomes. Analytic frameworks essentially provide a picture of the topic under review, helping to elucidate the ways in which the intervention under review may contribute to health outcomes in the target population. (McPheeters, unknown)

4. Objective data is obtained through strictly controlled, unbiased scientific experimentation where as subjective data has an element of opinion or personal feeling entering into the testing method or result analysis.

5. A SOAP note is a documentation method used by health care providers to create a patients chart. A SOAP note contains four parts. Subjective; which describes the patient's condition and usually includes why the patient came to the provider. Objective; which documents objective, repeatable and traceable facts about the patient's status; Assessment; which includes the diagnosis of the patient's condition and Plan, which outlines the course of treatment the health care provider, has chosen to undertake. The SOAP note is written to assist improved communication among all involved in caring for the patient and to display the assessment, problems and plans in an organized format.

6. In relation to medical evaluation congruence refers to when the symptoms present are consistent with the patient's diagnosed disorder (i.e. a clinically depressed patient crying or showing signs of self-harm). Incongruence refers to when the symptoms shown seem completely out of place in relation to the patient's diagnosed disorder. (i.e. a suicidal patient who is extremely happy, laughing and smiling constantly)

7. Transference is where a person unconsciously transfers feelings, attitudes, beliefs or behaviours from a situation in the past onto a situation in the present. Counter transference occurs when the worker begins to project his or her own feelings onto the client.
