Admission Diagnosis: Pain in wrist (M25.532)
Will Greenfield is admitted to RiverView Hospital after fall at home. The patient also has Congestive Heart Failure. Mr. Greenfield is 68 years of age. The patient also has hypertension and hypercholesterolemia which were managed throughout the hospital stay. All three medical conditions are monitored and treated during this hospital visit, CHF, Hypertension, and hypercholesterolemia. An x-ray on day 1 of the hospital admission revealed a nondisplaced fracture of the radius lower end. An orthopedic consultation was obtained, and the patient was placed in a short arm splint (lower arm). The patient will be seen after discharge for follow-up with the orthopedic physician. After 4 days in the hospital, Mr. Greenfield was discharged to home in an improved condition.
