Scenario: You are the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of a small corporation. Due to recent harsh economic times, the corporation will have to make cuts in its current operation. The managers of the Marketing department and the Technology department have been made aware that one of their departments will be asked to cut 30% of their operating budget. How might you use your conflict management skills to gather information, speak with the two department managers, and arrive at a decision regarding cut-backs while minimizing conflict within the company.
