You want to see whether the size of a glass affects the amount of liquid people pour for themselves. You randomly choose 14 people and ask them to pour 8 ounces into each glass. The amount of actual liquid poured is below.

Amount of liquid poured (in ounces)

Small glass 7.3 8.2 7.1 10.5 9.2 8.3 6.3 9.1 7.6 8.7 9.7 8.8 5.7 6.8

Large glass 9.3 7.6 10.6 7.8 9.5 11.2 11.1 8.8 9.2 8.6 10.5 10.2 9.4 8.5

1. Find a 90% confidence interval for the mean amount of liquid poured into the small glass. Then explain what the confidence interval means in this context.

2. Is there a difference in the mean amount of liquid poured into the small glass and the large glass? Use an appropriate hypothesis test, and then state your conclusion in context. (You may use an alpha-level of .05.)
