The average length of time it takes to fully carbonite(a la Han Solo) is 25 minutes. Suppose Jabba the Hutt wants to test this claim. Assume that freezing times are normally distributed. Jabba collects carbonite freezing data from 30 of his prisoners. He finds that the sample average is 23.5 minutes with a sample standard deviation of 2.75 minutes. Using the Confidence Interval Approach and a=0.05, does Jabba have sufficient evidence to conclude that the average time it takes to freeze someone in Carboniteis less than 25 minutes?
