Assignment:
I need to do a literature review on the following project title for my experimental study "The Psychology of Giving: An Experimental Study on Emotional and Social Pressure of Charitable Behaviour"
- The experiment design will be within-subject design
- The dependent variable is the amount donated
- There will be two independent variables, emotional primary of two conditions neutral and positive. The other independent variable will be social influence with the two conditions informed and uninformed.
Participants will begin with a positive mood or neutral mood induction task.
After which they will be presented with 4 charity scenarios and an option to donated up to 100 pounds of digital currency.
The study aims to build on existing literature and fill a gap in knowledge on how emotion and social factors interact with each other regarding altruistic behaviours.
