Write up a simple 1 ½ to 2 page paper in APA format reporting on your simple introspective experiment. Remember, in APA format you will begin with a title page, followed by an abstract on its own page, and then an introduction, method, results, discussion, and a reference page. Double space, use Times New Roman 12-point font, and 1" margins all around unless otherwise instructed by your teacher.
An important part of your introduction will involve a little context about what introspection is, and justifications behind why you used it. This is most likely where the need for at least a couple of outside references will come in. Make your references academically credible (this means do not use Wikipedia or an Internet page, magazine, or newspaper article).
This portion is just the activity for it so I assume you would have to follow this in order to assist me in answering the question/assignment (I hope I am explaining this correctly because I am lost even reading the assignment) So even before the paper you have to design and form a simple introspective :( Im sorry this professor is tough, not to mention there is another assignment.
Introspective Activity
Wilhelm Wundt made extensive use of introspection in his work. He enforced stringent experimental conditions, extensive training, replication of results, and controlled manipulation of the stimulus. In this respect, his introspective work laid a lot of the groundwork for later psychological experiments across a number of sub-disciplines.
Some of Wundt's rules were as follows: (1) he tended to heavily focus on quantitative judgment (e.g., speed, weight) rather than qualitative judgments (e.g., aversiveness); (2) observers must know when the process or stimulus begins and ends; (3) observers must be ready and paying careful attention; (4) the observations and experiments must be replicable; (5) it must be possible to manipulate the stimulus (or stimuli) in a controlled way.
Following these rules, design and conduct your own simple introspection experiment and record the results. You will be reporting your results in the evaluation portion of this module, so take careful notes of what you did.
