Part 1 . In the first spreadsheet of Fall 2019 Assignment (available on Canvas), there are 3,000 randomly sampled measurements of Y. For each of these observations, the population from which it was drawn has been noted. You can assume that Y is normally distributed, and these populations have equal variance with retard to Y.
Using observations 2376-2438, test (at α = 0.05) whether these populations differ with regard to the mean value of Y. Report the results of your test in the appropriate (i.e., complete) tabular format. If you arrive at the conclusion that there is at least one difference, conduct follow-up analyses to determine which population(s) is/are different.
Part 2 . In the second spreadsheet of Fall 2019 Assignment , there are 3,000 randomly sampled measurements of Z in which two factors - A and B - took on one of two levels (each). You can assume that Z is normally distributed and its variance is constant across the different combinations of A and B.
Using observations 1275-1346, evaluate whether either factor (or both in combination) leads to different mean values of Z. Conduct your test using α = 0.05, and report the results of your analyses in the appropriate (i.e., complete) tabular format. Make sure you discuss, briefly, any conclusions you reach.
