This is a role play activity. Contact your trainer to organise a mutually convenient time to undertake this activity.
Based on the individualised plan described in the earlier Case Study 2 (p29-30), you are to support Stanley to achieve his goal of attending the weekly self-advocacy group.
Before you attempt the role play, think about the types of support you will need to provide to Stanley to assist him to catch the train and help him build up to his goal of catching the train independently.
Role play:
A meeting with Stanley (i.e. your trainer in this role play) prior to catching the train and describing to him the support you are going to provide todayWalking with Stanley to the stationBuying a ticket or Opal card together (and discussing how to top up an Opal card)Catching a train with Stanley, and Walking him to the self-advocacy groupWhile you undertake this role play, ensure you:
