This Capstone Project has been full of joy and pain. I enjoyed researching the topic of conduct disorder and the misdiagnosing of African Americans. It has caused me to laugh and cry, the information obtained has been great and will be used from this day forward to help with social change. The social change that I hope to make is awareness and education to all who interact with youth in any way, because behaviors of indicative of our past experiences and knowing their past experiences. I realize change can happen one person at a time. It was exciting to read some of the information that confirmed ideas I had previously conveyed to others, but also very disappointing as well.

This course helped me understand what is expected in scholarly writing, I have knowledge and understanding, even practice at it. I have learned the art of critical thinking, listening and learning from others but also weighing the quality of the statements (Browne & Keeley, 2018). Being able to look at an article with a more critical eye and understand not only what the author(s) is saying but also what is not being said, will cause me to read with intention from this point forward. Honestly, I do not see any aspect as less beneficial but I do wish that time did not go so fast and I would have had more time to absorb more of the information. My advice to all who come along after me, would be to stay as focused as possible and continue to follow the timeline that you set in the first couple of weeks of class.
