You work for Canadian tour operator. You have been asked to be part of a team travelling to South korea to negotiate a contract with a local tourism partner. Your telephone conversations with the local tourism partner have led you to believe there will be some conflict at the negotiation table. 

Assignment Directions: 

  • Conduct an analysis of the cultural dimensions and cultural attitudes/approaches to conflict your team should be aware of as you leave to negotiate this contract with your country of choice.
  • This should include some comparison between Canada and South korea.
  • Help build your team's intercultural competence by contributing to their culture specific knowledge about negotiation with the culture of your country of choice.
