(3) cultural values and norms;

(4) religious beliefs and practices; and

(5) health beliefs and practices.

Do a group presentation on the following topics based on the type of culture chosen by the student.

a) Identify and reflect on your own social and cultural perspectives and biases.

b) Show respect for diversity in communication with all people.

c) Identify issues that may cause communication misunderstandings or other difficulties.

d) Identify any conflicts you might face while working with people from this culture due to your own cultural values and differences.

e) What communication strategies can nurses' use when they are working with someone from another culture?

f) Describe influences and changing practices in Australia and their impact on the diverse communities that make up Australian society.
