Sarah is the branch manager of Bank XYZ. Sarah overlooks about 25 employees in her branch. Jonah reports to Sarah in the accounting department. Lately, Sarah has been noticing that Jonah has been coming in late to work everyday. Instead of 9 AM, Jonah has been walking in at 9:30 AM. Sarah is now concerned about his performance, so she asks the accounting head to forward all of Jonah's work (Financial Statements) that he has been creating. Sarah finds a lot of mistakes in these reports. She quickly checks his resume to see if he has the qualifications required to do the job and his experience and qualification does check out. Sarah reaches out to you, (HR Consultant) to find out what her options are in this scenario.

a) As an HR consultant, you recommend Sarah to conduct a Performance Appraisal with Jonah, since it is already overdue. Explain to Sarah:

i. What is a Performance Appraisal?

ii. Explain in detail FIVE (5) uses of a performance appraisal.
