In this assignment you will use the process of diagnostic reasoning to assist you during a neurological assessment. Your response should be 2 to 3 pages long and incorporate at least two scholarly references. Please do not use any patient identifiers in your write up. You will conduct a neurological assessment on a patient/person of your choosing. Your chosen individual must be of a different age/stage of development then you.

• Describe the neurological assessments needed to conduct a neurological assessment outlining the different assessment techniques you needed to use based upon the differing age group of your client.

• Use diagnostic reasoning to create a list of five potential nursing diagnoses (for your patient's particular age group). You must have a least one nursing diagnosis that relates to the client's family and/or his/her role in the family.

• Discuss the impact these findings, and your potential diagnosis(es) could have on the client's family.

• Explain how you used diagnostic reasoning to arrive at this list.
