A manager of a job placement company wanted to investigate the job offers recent MBAs were obtaining depending on whether they majored in film or economy. In particular, he wanted to know whether film majors were being offered higher salaries than economy majors. She randomly sampled 25 recent graduates of each major. Can we infer that film majors obtain higher salary offers than do economy majors?
