Question: Select a region of the world you are interested in and a size of wind power generation system (small- capable of powering a small farm, large- capable of powering a city or a region) that you are interested in. Conduct a feasibility study of constructing and operating wind turbines in that region.

Your study must include:

Energy needs of that region, present and projected

Energy sources currently in use in that region, and cost in cents/KW-hr

Wind resources available in that region, including capacity factors

Economic analysis, assuming a 10% financial discount rate, of the wind turbine system(s)

Public policy issues important to that region (zoning, renewable portfolio standards, energy credit,..)

Your report may be in Word form, or in pdf form. The report will be approximately 10 to 15 pages (single spaced)
