Case: For this Assignment, you will use the SPSS data file provided to conduct an analysis of the construct validity (divergent and convergent validity) of the OCEAN measures. Assume that the following research questions and associated hypotheses have been developed based on the theory of personality associated with the OCEAN measure. In addition, the researcher has a measure of personality type that was also completed by the people in the sample. After conducting the analyses, you will summarize your conclusions in terms whether or not these analyses provide evidence of validity of the OCEAN measures.

RQ1: Males will demonstrate higher levels of Extroversion than females.

Ho1: There is not a significant positive correlation between gender and the OCEAN measure of Extroversion.
Ha1: There is a significant positive correlation between gender and the OCEAN measure of Extroversion.

RQ2: The OCEAN measure of Extroversion will correlate with an external measure of Extroversion from a measure of personality type.

Ho2: There is not a significant positive correlation between the OCEAN measure of Extroversion and a measure of Extroversion from a measure of personality type.
Ha2: There is a significant positive correlation between the OCEAN measure of Extroversion and a measure of Extroversion from a measure of personality type.

RQ 3: The remaining OCEAN measures should not be related to other measures derived from a measure of personality type.

Ho3: There are no significant correlations for the remaining OCEAN measures (Openness, Conscientiousness, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism) with the remaining measures of personality type (Sensing/Intuition, Thinking/Feeling, and Judging/Perceiving).
Ha3: There are significant correlations for the remaining OCEAN measures (Openness, Conscientiousness, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism) with the remaining measures of personality type (Sensing/Intuition, Thinking/Feeling, and Judging/Perceiving).

Submit a 2- to 3-page paper (not including references) that addresses the following:

Conduct a correlations analysis of gender with the OCEAN measures and the four measures of personality type. Then, present the results in an APA Style correlation table.
Interpret the correlations for the research questions and explain what conclusions you can draw about the validity of the OCEAN measure. If you are unfamiliar with type theory, please review the optional reading for this week.
The main focus of this assignment is basically an APA style results section. As such, you must include a cover page, introductory text as to what is being evaluated and why. You MUST follow the APA guide for developing APA style tables. It is NOT appropriate to copy and paste tables directly out of SPSS. You must provide an interpretation, which means explain in words what the numbers mean.
