Q. A 40-lb roller of diameter 8 in. that is to be used on a tile floor is resting directly on the subflooring. Knowing that the thickness of each tile is 0.30 in., conclude the force P required to move the roller onto the tiles if the roller is moved to left.

Q. A street lamp weighs 180 N. It is supported by two wires that form an angle of 150° with each other. The tensions in the wires are equal.
