There are four types of transformations namely translation, rotation, reflection and dilation. In case of translation the figure(2D) is translated parallel to the axes. For rotation the figure(2D) is rotated counterclockwise around origin. In reflection the figure transformed just like mirror reflection where the length of sides and angles of any figure remain same. In case of dilation either expansion and contraction. occur. The length of sides are expanded or contracted but the shape of the figure remains same.
