ASSIGNMENT:

Dahrendorf's central argument is that systematic social conflicts are always caused by differences in who holds authority (he was interested in the role itself not the characteristics of the individuals who hold the role). He argued that once conflict groups form (conflict groups are interest groups that actually engage in conflict), their actions lead to changes in social structure.
