It is the policy of your agency that staff receives statutory holidays as regulated by employment legislation. One of your colleagues, a Muslim man, asks his supervisor to take a day off from work to observe the holy day of Eid. His supervisor denies the request stating that other employees are on vacation on that particular day and clients need to be seen. How do you view this request by the employee and the response by his supervisor? Do you believe the request and the response are reasonable or unreasonable? Explain your answer.
