Assignment - Research Proposal
What you need to do
For this assessment task you will need to write a research proposal for your chosen research question. It should include an updated version of the literature review you completed as part of assessment 2.
The assessment should be about 3,000 words (+/-5%), excluding the list of references.
Why you need to do this
The aim of this assessment task is to develop your ability to write a realistic proposal for conducting research into an area of interest.
Criteria
To complete this assessment successfully you will need to:
• Provide the background and motivation for the proposed research
• Scope the research identifying what is within or without of the proposed research
• Select, evaluate and synthesise the literature on the topic
• Propose an appropriate methodology
• Describe the expected outcomes
• Create a research management plan that identifies the timeline, the resources and the finances
How it should be done
Although we will be using the content of the first two assessments in the final assessment (assessment 3), a good final assessment should contain an updated version of the first two assessments.
1. Follow the structure outlined in the template for this final assignment
2. Revise guideline of first two assessment and apply here.1. Write a clear and focused research question (the main question that you want to answer in this project).
The main research question of the project is
"What are the different important concepts in the field of electric circuit's engineers and students find difficult to detect?"
2. Describe the general background/context specific to the research question, the problem that you want to solve and its importance/significance.
3. Look at your research question and answer the following:
a) How have you focused your research question to make sure you can undertake this research with a reasonable expenditure of time, money and effort?
b) Describe the process of solving the problem very briefly in a few steps.
