Macaroni and cheese packages specify how long to cook the pasta in boiling water. In general, foods that are cooked at lower temperatures require longer cooking times. On some packages, a longer length of time for cooking the pasta is specified if cooking the pasta at high elevations (Ex. above 3,500 feet above sea level). Explain it briefly why this is so.
